7   An Act relating to long-term care; creating the

    Options Counseling for Long-term Care Revolving Fund;

8   stating the purpose; providing for codification;

    providing an effective date; and declaring an

9   emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.      NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3002.8 of Title 56, unless there

15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

16  There is hereby created in the State Treasury a revolving fund

17 for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to be designated the

18 "Options Counseling for Long-term Care Revolving Fund". The fund

19 shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal year limitations,

20 and shall consist of all monies received by the Oklahoma Department

21 of Human Services from state-appropriated funds, federal funds,

22 donations, grants, and contributions from any public or private

23 source and designated for the purpose set forth in this section.

24 All monies accruing to the credit of said fund are hereby

1 appropriated and may be budgeted and expended by the Oklahoma

2 Department of Human Services for the purpose of providing

3 individuals, their representatives, or both, with long-term care

4 options consultation by phone or in person. Expenditures from said

5 fund shall be made upon warrants issued by the State Treasurer

6 against claims filed as prescribed by law with the Director of the

7 Office of Management and Enterprise Services for approval and

8 payment.

9   SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.

10  SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation

11 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby

12 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and

13 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
