8 An Act relating to insurance; amending Section 1,
Chapter 56, O.S.L. 2025 (36 O.S. Supp. 2025, Section
9 6224), which relates to public insurance adjusters
and total commission payable; limiting total
10 commission payable to either ten percent or One
Hundred Thousand Dollars depending on which is less;
11 and providing an effective date.

15 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
16 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY Section 1, Chapter 56, O.S.L. 2025
17 (36 O.S. Supp. 2025, Section 6224), is amended to read as follows:
18 Section 6224. Under any method of compensation, the total
19 commission payable to a public insurance adjuster, including
20 expenses, direct costs, or any other costs accrued by the public
21 insurance adjuster, shall not exceed ten percent (10%) or One
22 Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), whichever is less, of the
23 amount of the insurance settlement when adjusting for entities

1 subject to The Governmental Tort Claims Act, Section 151 et seq. of
2 Title 51 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
3 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
