6                            AS INTRODUCED

7   An Act relating to property; prohibiting certain

    legal entities from acquiring title to certain number

8   of parcels of real property; providing for

    inapplicability of provisions to natural persons and

9   certain legal entities based upon use of real

    property for leasing; providing for inapplicability

10  of act to entities based on title to real property on

    effective date; providing for codification; and

11  providing an effective date.

14 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

15  SECTION 1.      NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

16 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2101 of Title 60, unless there

17 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

18  A. No legal entity which requires action by a state or local

19 government entity in order to establish its legal existence,

20 including but not limited to a partnership, limited partnership,

21 limited liability limited partnership, corporation or limited

22 liability company, shall acquire title to more than fifty (50)

23 parcels of real property within the state which at the time of

24 acquisition by such entity has affixed to land improvements designed

1 for occupancy by one or more natural persons and which would be

2 categorized as "single family residential" or a similar designation.

3   B. The provisions of this section shall not be applicable to a

4 natural person or to a legal entity which acquires title to real

5 property in order to construct or to own and operate, if

6 improvements are in place on the acquisition date, real property the

7 primary purpose of which is to allow one or more persons to occupy

8 such property pursuant to a lease.

9   C. The provisions of this section shall not be applicable to

10 any entity for real property held by such entity on the effective

11 date of this act.

12  SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
