6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to definitions; defining family
resource center; providing for codification; and
8 providing an effective date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
12 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 52 of Title 25, unless there is
14 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15 A. The term "family resource center" means a community, school,
16 or faith-based hub of support services for families that:
17 1. Utilizes an approach that is multi-generational, strengths-
18 based, and family centered;
19 2. Reflects, and is responsive to, community needs and
20 interests;
21 3. Provides support at no or low cost for participants; and
22 4. Builds communities of peer support for families, including
23 kinship families, to develop social connections that reduce
24 isolation and stress.

1 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
