7 An Act relating to professions and occupations;
amending 59 O.S. 2021, Section 4200.6, which relates
8 to massage therapy license posting requirements;
requiring licensure and photographic identification
9 to be visible; requiring all massage therapists to
make professional licensure; and providing an
10 effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 4200.6, is
15 amended to read as follows:
16 Section 4200.6. A. A massage therapy license issued by the
17 State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering shall at all times be
18 posted in a conspicuous place in the principal place of business of
19 the holder. All businesses offering massage therapy shall at all
20 times have the following requirements posted in a conspicuous place:
21 1. The massage therapy license issued by the State Board of
22 Cosmetology and Barbering, which shall be made visible to all
23 patrons and other individuals who may enter the establishment; and
24 2. Photographic identification of the licensee.

1 B. All massage therapists shall post all required professional
2 certificate(s) visible in their workplace.
3 C. A license issued pursuant to the Massage Therapy Practice
4 Act is not assignable or transferable.
5 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
