7   An Act relating to medical micropigmentation;

    amending 63 O.S. 2021, Section 1-1452, which relates

8   to who can perform micropigmentation; authorizing

    independent authority once certain criteria are met;

9   and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.      AMENDATORY        63 O.S. 2021, Section 1-1452, is

14 amended to read as follows:

15  Section 1-1452. On and after May 1, 2002, medical

16 micropigmentation may only be performed in a physician's office by:

17  1. A physician as defined by the Oklahoma Medical

18 Micropigmentation Regulation Act;

19  2. A person licensed to practice registered nursing by the

20 Oklahoma Board of Nursing who holds a current certificate issued by

21 the State Commissioner of Health pursuant to the provisions of the

22 Oklahoma Medical Micropigmentation Regulation Act while working

23 under supervision of a physician. The level of supervision shall be

1 determined by the physician in whose office medical

2 micropigmentation is being performed; and

3   3. A person who holds a current certificate issued by the State

4 Commissioner of Health pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma

5 Medical Micropigmentation Regulation Act while working under

6 supervision of a physician. Supervision may cease once a person has

7 been supervised for six thousand two hundred forty (6,240) or more

8 hours and who has reported those hours to the State Board of Health.

9 The level of supervision shall be determined by the physician in

10 whose office medical micropigmentation is being performed.

11  SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
