6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis;
providing an act relating to appropriations; relating
8 to the Barbara Weber Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
(ALS) Grant Program; stating amount and purpose;
9 providing funding for program; providing an effective
date; and declaring an emergency.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Barbara Weber
15 Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Grant Program from any monies
16 not otherwise appropriated from the General Revenue Fund of the
17 State Treasury for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, the sum of
18 One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) or so much thereof as may be
19 necessary to perform the duties imposed upon the Oklahoma State
20 Department of Health by law.
21 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.
22 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
23 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby

1 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
2 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
