6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to boating; prohibiting the use of
certain motorized vessels on the Lower Mountain Fork
8 River; making certain exceptions; providing for
codification; and providing effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4219.1 of Title 63, unless there
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
16 A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, no
17 person shall operate, launch, or place any certain motorized vessel
18 with a motor greater than ten (10) horsepower into the waters of the
19 Lower Mountain Fork River in the area from the dam to the end of
20 Wild Goose Road.
21 B. The prohibition in subsection A of this section does not
22 apply to:
23 1. Law enforcement, emergency response, or search and rescue
24 operations conducted by federal, state, tribal, or local agencies;

1 2. Vessels engaged in authorized governmental operations while
2 performing official duties; or
3 3. Vessels otherwise protected by federal law or valid tribal
4 treaty rights.
5 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
