6                            AS INTRODUCED

7   An Act relating to technology; prohibiting the

    granting of personhood to artificial intelligence

8   systems, environmental elements, nonhuman animals,

    and inanimate objects; clarifying act does not revoke

9   personhood of entities currently recognized;

    providing for codification; and providing an

10  effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

14  SECTION 1.      NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

15 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1 of Title 75A, unless there is

16 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

17  A. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, artificial

18 intelligence systems, environmental elements, nonhuman animals, and

19 inanimate objects shall not be recognized as or granted the status

20 of personhood under the Constitution or laws of this state.

21  B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to alter or

22 revoke the status of any municipality, corporation, association,

23 partnership, nonprofit organization, or other legal entity duly

24 recognized under the laws of this state prior to November 1, 2026.
