6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to animals; requiring commercial pet
breeders to list license number on advertisements;
8 directing the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture,
Food, and Forestry to promulgate rules and set fines;
9 providing for codification; and providing an
effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
15 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 30.17 of Title 4, unless there
16 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
17 A. All commercial pet breeders under this title shall list
18 their commercial pet breeder's license number, as issued by the
19 Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry, on all
20 advertisements for pet sales.
21 B. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry
22 shall promulgate rules to implement and enforce this section, which
23 shall include, but is not limited to, setting fines for
24 noncompliance with this section.

1 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
