7 An Act relating to the Pardon and Parole Board;
amending 57 O.S. 2021, Section 332.4, which relates
8 to selection and compensation of Board members;
deleting separate compensation for the Chair of the
9 Pardon and Parole Board; increasing compensation for
members of the Board; and providing an effective
10 date.

14 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
15 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 57 O.S. 2021, Section 332.4, is
16 amended to read as follows:
17 Section 332.4. A. The Chair of the Pardon and Parole Board
18 shall be selected by the Board. The Chair of the Pardon and Parole
19 Board shall receive Twenty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars
20 ($24,800.00) per annum, payable monthly, in the following allotment:
21 1. Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) for preparation for said
22 meeting; and
23 2. One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-seven Dollars ($1,667.00) for
24 the regular monthly Board meeting.

1 B. The members of the Board shall receive Twenty-two Thousand
2 Eight Hundred Dollars ($22,800.00) compensation in the amount of
3 Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($85,000.00) per annum, payable monthly
4 in the following allotment:
5 1. Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) for preparation for said
6 meeting; and
7 2. One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) for the
8 regular monthly Board meeting.
9 C. 1. Failure of any member to attend one Board meeting in any
10 calendar year, except for justifiable excuse as determined by the
11 Chair pursuant to written policy established by the Board, shall
12 preclude the right of the member to receive his or her monthly
13 compensation established by subsection A or B of this section.
14 2. In addition, any member who fails to attend two or more
15 Board meetings in any calendar year except for extraordinary
16 circumstances as determined by the Chair pursuant to written policy
17 established by the Board shall be deemed to have committed official
18 misconduct as such term is defined by Section 93 of Title 51 of the
19 Oklahoma Statutes. To initiate a removal from office pursuant to
20 this paragraph, the Board shall pass a resolution by a majority of
21 the members of the Board detailing the alleged misconduct. Such
22 removal shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 3 of Title 51
23 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

1 3. Failure to attend meetings of the Board, pursuant to the
2 policy established by the Board, shall constitute cause for removal
3 pursuant to Section 10 of Article VI of the Oklahoma Constitution.
4 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
