6                               AS INTRODUCED

7   An Act relating to game and fish; amending 29 O.S.

    2021, Section 7-208, which relates to payment of

8   administrative fine in lieu of bond; providing

    methods of payment of fine; providing timeline for

9   payment of fine; and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.      AMENDATORY     29 O.S. 2021, Section 7-208, is

14 amended to read as follows:

15  Section 7-208. A. Any person arrested for violation of any

16 rule promulgated by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission

17 may, in lieu of posting bond, pay an administrative fine equal to

18 one-half (1/2) of the current bond schedule, as prepared by the

19 Administrative Office of the Courts pursuant to Section 1115.3 of

20 Title 22 of the Oklahoma Statutes; such administrative fine shall be

21 payable in person or may be paid online, furthermore the payor shall

22 have seven (7) days from the date of the arrest to pay the

23 administrative fine. The amount of the fine shall be rounded to the

24 nearest five-dollar increment.

1   B. Any fines collected pursuant to this section shall be

2 payable to the Department of Wildlife Conservation and shall be

3 deposited in the Wildlife Conservation Fund to be used exclusively

4 for developing, managing, conserving, and protecting wildlife and

5 wildlife habitat.

6   SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
