7 An Act relating to motor vehicles; amending 47 O.S.
2021, Section 10-118, which relates to accident
8 response fee prohibited; prohibiting the charging of
certain fee for accident response by certain
9 entities; and providing an effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 47 O.S. 2021, Section 10-118, is
15 amended to read as follows:
16 Section 10-118. A. Notwithstanding any other section of law to
17 the contrary, no person or entity shall impose an accident response
18 fee for the response or investigation of a motor vehicle accident by
19 law enforcement, fire department, or municipality.
20 B. For purposes of this section, "accident response fee" means
21 a fee imposed for the response or investigation of a motor vehicle
22 accident and does not mean any fee otherwise specifically authorized
23 by law.

1 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
