6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to schools; amending Section 1,
Chapter 106, O.S.L. 2022 (70 O.S. Supp. 2025, Section
8 11-201), which relates to the library media program;
eliminating reference to community standards;
9 prohibiting the library media program from obtaining
obscene materials for school libraries; and providing
10 an effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY Section 1, Chapter 106, O.S.L.
15 2022 (70 O.S. Supp. 2025, Section 11-201), is amended to read as
16 follows:
17 Section 11-201. As school library media center resources are
18 finite, the The library media program shall be reflective of the

21 Section 1024.1 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes when acquiring

3 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
