7 An Act relating to torts; amending 76 O.S. 2021,
Section 52.1, which relates to liability of firearm
8 manufacturers; expanding scope of liability exemption
to include component parts; and providing an
9 effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 76 O.S. 2021, Section 52.1, is
15 amended to read as follows:
16 Section 52.1. No firearm manufacturer, distributor, or seller
17 who lawfully manufactures, distributes, or sells a firearm or
18 component parts for a firearm is liable to any person or entity, or
19 to the estate, successors, or survivors of either, for any injury
20 suffered, including wrongful death and property damage, because of
21 use of such firearm by another or because aftermarket modifications
22 using component parts were made by another to such firearm.
