6                   AS INTRODUCED

7   An Act relating to a constitutional convention;

    ordering a legislative referendum pursuant to the

8   Oklahoma Constitution; presenting the question for

    approval by the People of the State of Oklahoma for a

9   constitutional convention; providing ballot title;

    and directing filing.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 3 of Article V of the Oklahoma

14 Constitution, there is hereby ordered the following legislative

15 referendum which shall be filed with the Secretary of State and

16 addressed to the Governor of the state, who shall submit the same to

17 the people for their approval or rejection at the next General

18 Election.

19  Shall a constitutional convention be called pursuant to Section

20 2 of Article 24 of the Oklahoma Constitution?

21  SECTION 2. The Ballot Title for the proposed Question as set

22 forth in SECTION 1 of this measure shall be in the following form:

1 THE GIST OF THE PROPOSITION IS AS FOLLOWS:

2   Pursuant to Section 3 of Article 5 of the Oklahoma Constitution,

3   and as required by Section 2 of Article 24 of the Oklahoma

4   Constitution, shall a convention to consider revisions to the

5   Oklahoma Constitution occur?

6   SHALL THE PROPOSAL BE APPROVED?

7   FOR THE PROPOSAL -- YES            _____________

8   AGAINST THE PROPOSAL -- NO         _____________

9   SECTION 3. The Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives,

10 immediately after the passage of this act, shall prepare and file

11 one copy thereof, including the Ballot Title set forth in SECTION 2

12 hereof, with the Secretary of State and one copy with the Attorney

13 General.
