An Act relating to Medicaid; providing for
8 reimbursement for multiplex respiratory PCR testing;
providing for codification; and providing an
9 effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
15 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4009 of Title 56, unless there
16 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
17 The Oklahoma Health Care Authority shall reimburse providers for
18 Current Procedural Terminology codes 87636 and 87637 under the
19 Oklahoma Medicaid program to support multiplex respiratory PCR
20 testing for symptomatic patients for emergency room and urgent care
21 settings. These tests are critical for diagnosing respiratory
22 illnesses such as COVID-19, influenza A or B, and respiratory
23 syncytial virus (RSV), and align with clinical best practices for
24 patient care.
