6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to game and fish; providing that the
Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission shall
8 prescribe by regulation the legal means of hunting
deer during primitive firearm season; requiring the
9 commission to include handguns chambered in a certain
caliber as legal means of taking during primitive
10 firearm season; and providing an effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
15 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3-316 of Title 29, unless there
16 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
17 Legal means of taking deer during primitive (muzzleloading)
18 firearms season for hunters who have purchased a primitive firearms
19 hunting license shall be prescribed by regulation by the Oklahoma
20 Wildlife Conservation Commission. The Commission shall include
21 modern, non-muzzleloading handguns chambered in .38 special +P
22 caliber or larger in this list of legal means of taking during
23 primitive (muzzleloading) firearms season.
