6                            AS INTRODUCED

7   An Act relating to probate procedure; requiring

    personal representatives of an estate to transfer

8   title to real property follow certain title standards

    in order to transfer marketable title when closing an

9   estate; and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13  SECTION 1.      NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified

14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 270 of Title 58, unless there is

15 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

16  Personal representatives of every estate shall take such steps

17 as may be required as part of the closing of an estate in order to

18 transfer title of any real property which shall comply with

19 applicable marketable title standards as produced by the Real

20 Property Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association.

21  SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
