6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to county fairs; creating the County
Fair Modernization Act; requiring members of the
8 County Free Fair Association Board of Directors must
meet attendance requirement; clarifying that members
9 who do not meet attendance requirement will cease to
hold office; permitting members to take recommended
10 training course; providing for noncodification;
providing for codification; and providing an
11 effective date.

14 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
15 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
16 codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
17 This act shall be known and may be cited as the "County Fair
18 Modernization Act".
19 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
20 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 15-97 of Title 2, unless there
21 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
22 Whenever a member of the County Free Fair Association Board of
23 Directors is absent from more than fifty percent (50%) of all
24 meetings of the Board, regular and special, held within any period

1 of four consecutive meetings, that member shall thereupon cease to
2 hold office, and that position shall be considered vacant.
3 SECTION 3. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
4 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 15-98 of Title 2, unless there
5 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
6 Members of the County Free Fair Association Board may take a
7 recommended training course offered by Oklahoma State University's
8 extension office, delivered online, to better serve in their elected
9 position.
10 SECTION 4. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
