6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to playground equipment; defining
terms; requiring all public playground equipment be
8 to a certain standard; providing for codification;
and providing an effective date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
12 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 7350 of Title 63, unless there
14 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15 As used in this act:
16 1. "Fully inclusive" means anyone that may require the use of a
17 mobility device to access or use the playground equipment; and
18 2. "Travel surfaces" means the material in contact with the
19 ground that is used by individuals to navigate the playground.
20 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
21 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 7351 of Title 63, unless there
22 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
23 Every city, town, municipality, and public school district in
24 counties in Oklahoma with a population of at least one hundred

1 thousand (100,000) persons according to the Federal Decennial Census
2 or most recent population estimate, that plan to:
3 1. Install new playground equipment and travel surfaces; or
4 2. Update existing playground equipment and travel surfaces,
5 shall ensure that all material and equipment are fully inclusive and
6 accessible for adults and children of all ages.
7 SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
