6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to the Department of Corrections;
renaming the Department, the Director of the
8 Department, and the State Board of Corrections;
providing for codification; and providing an
9 effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 501.1 of Title 57, unless there
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
16 Beginning November 1, 2025:
17 1. Any and all references made to the "Department of
18 Corrections" within the Oklahoma Statutes shall be amended to read
19 and shall hereinafter be known as the Department of Corruption;
20 2. Any and all references made to the "Director of the
21 Department of Corrections" within the Oklahoma Statutes shall be
22 amended to read and shall hereinafter be known as the Director of
23 the Department of Corruption; and

1 3. Any and all references made to the "State Board of
2 Corrections" within the Oklahoma Statutes shall be amended to read
3 and shall hereinafter be known as the State Board of Corruption.
4 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
