6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to schools; authorizing the Board of
Regents of the University of Oklahoma to create a
8 math tutoring pilot program for certain students;
specifying school participation; providing for
9 codification; providing an effective date; and
declaring an emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3314.1 of Title 70, unless there
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
16 A. The Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma is hereby
17 authorized to establish within the College of Education at the
18 University of Oklahoma a pilot program to provide high-dosage
19 mathematics tutoring for the lowest performing ninth-grade students
20 resulting from the required eighth-grade mathematics assessment
21 provided for in Section 1210.508 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma
22 Statutes.
23 B. The pilot program described in subsection A of this section
24 shall run for public high schools in districts with thirty thousand

1 (30,000) enrolled students or greater, as well as public charter
2 schools established pursuant to the Oklahoma Charter School Act.
3 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025.
4 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
5 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
6 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
7 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
