 Introduced  by  Sen. ROLISON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
   ment  Operations  --  committee  discharged,  bill  amended,   ordered
   reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee
 
 AN  ACT  to  amend  chapter 294 of the laws of 2023 amending the tax law
   relating to authorizing the city of Poughkeepsie to impose a hotel and
   motel tax, in relation to the effectiveness thereof
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section 2 of chapter 294 of the laws of 2023 amending the
 tax law relating to authorizing the city of  Poughkeepsie  to  impose  a
 hotel and motel tax is amended to read as follows:
   §  2.  This  act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
 deemed repealed [3 years after such date] AUGUST 23, 2029.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
