Why the Governor vetoed it

VETO MESSAGE - No. 46 TO THE SENATE: I am returning herewith, without my approval, the following bill: Senate Bill Number 1467, entitled: "AN ACT to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law, in relation to establishing standards for trail closures on the Empire state trail" NOT APPROVED This bill would require the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to coordinate with the trail segment owner to plan a detour route if there is a closure of the Empire State Trail, and to prominent- ly post signage along such route for the duration of the closure. Last year I vetoed similar legislation due to fiscal and operational concerns, and those concerns were not addressed in this year's legis- lation. Therefore, I am constrained to veto this bill The bill is disapproved. (signed) KATHY HOCHUL __________...
