AN ACT to amend chapter 434 of the laws of 2022 authorizing the commis-
sioner of the office of general services to convey certain unappropri-
ated state land to KIPP: Albany Community Public Charter Schools, in
relation to the time of transfer of certain lands and to the effec-
tiveness of such provisions
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Sections 4 and 6 of chapter 434 of the laws of 2022 author-
izing the commissioner of the office of general services to convey
certain unappropriated state land to KIPP: Albany Community Public Char-
ter Schools, are amended to read as follows:
§ 4. The office of general services shall not transfer or convey the
land described in section two of this act unless application is made to
the office of general services by KIPP: Albany Community Public Charter
Schools, such application shall be made within two years after the
effective date of this act. The transfer or conveyance of such land
shall be made [within one year] after KIPP: Albany Community Public
Charter Schools submits the application to the office of general
services AND PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION OF THIS ACT.
§ 6. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
deemed repealed [3] 4 years after such date.
§ 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that the amend-
ments to section 4 of chapter 434 of the laws of 2022 made by section
one of this act shall not affect the repeal of such chapter and shall be
deemed repealed therewith.
