VETO MESSAGE - No. 73 TO THE ASSEMBLY: I am returning herewith, without my approval, the following bill: Assembly Bill Number 7802-A, entitled: "AN ACT to amend the racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law, in relation to requiring harness racetrack locations awarded a gaming facility license maintain live racing activity" NOT APPROVED This bill would have required MGM Yonkers, Inc. to maintain live racing at the premises even if it was awarded a commercial casino license. Subsequent to the passage of this bill, MGM Yonkers, Inc. withdrew its application seeking a commercial casino license, rendering this bill moot. Therefore, I am constrained to veto this bill.
