Relates to preferred source status for entities that provide employment to certain persons

VETO MESSAGE - No. 122 TO THE ASSEMBLY: I am returning herewith, without my approval, the following bill: Assembly Bill Number 2496, entitled: "AN ACT to amend the state finance law, in relation to preferred source status for entities that provide employment and services to certain persons" NOT APPROVED The bill would expand the group of those eligible to participate in our preferred source program, currently consisting of the Corcraft Products, New York State Preferred Source Program for People who are Blind and the New York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID), to include those who are formerly incarcerated. The bill further adds "assembled or fulfilled" as the list of accepted tasks for commodities to the State's preferred source program.
