MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2026 Regular Session To: Transportation By: Representative Massengill House Bill 342 (As Sent to Governor) AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 370 IN ITAWAMBA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "ROGER CAMPBELL MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 363 IN ITAWAMBA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "JAKOB EDWARD KINDT MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF U.S. HIGHWAY 45 LOCATED IN BALDWYN, PRENTISS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 4 BRYAN ANDREW ZEMEK AND CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 4 DEREK JOSHUA ABBOTT MEMORIAL HIGHWAY; TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 7 LOCATED IN GRENADA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "ROBERT NOAH MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: SECTION 1. (1) The segment of Mississippi Highway 370 located in Itawamba County, Mississippi, beginning at the Lee-Itawamba County Line, and extending in the easterly direction to its intersection with Houston-Palestine Road in Itawamba County, Mississippi, is designated and shall be known as the "Roger Campbell Memorial Highway." (2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section. SECTION 2. (1) The segment of Mississippi Highway 363 located in Itawamba County, Mississippi, beginning at its intersection with Centerville Road, and extending in the northwesterly direction to its intersection with Hall Road in Itawamba County, Mississippi, is designated and shall be known as the "Jakob Edward Kindt Memorial Highway." (2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section. SECTION 3. (1) The segment of U.S. Highway 45 located in Baldwyn, Prentiss County, Mississippi, beginning one-half (1/2) mile south of its intersection with Mississippi Highway 30 and terminating at a location one-half (1/2) mile to the north of its intersection with Mississippi Highway 30 in Baldwyn, Prentiss County, Mississippi, is designated and shall be known as the "Chief Warrant Officer 4 Bryan Andrew Zemek and Chief Warrant Officer 4 Derek Joshua Abbott Memorial Highway." (2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section. SECTION 4. (1) A segment of Mississippi Highway 7 located in Grenada County, Mississippi, and extending for a distance of approximately one (1) mile, is designated and shall be known as the "Robert Noah Memorial Highway." The Board of Supervisors of Grenada County shall provide the points of beginning and termination of the designated segment to the Mississippi Department of Transportation within forty-five (45) days after the effective date of this act. (2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section. SECTION 5. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2026.
