Act No. 62 Public Acts of 2025 Approved by the Governor December 23, 2025 Filed with the Secretary of State December 23, 2025 EFFECTIVE DATE: Sine Die (91st day after final adjournment of the 2025 Regular Session) state of michigan 103rd Legislature Regular session of 2025 Introduced by Senators McMorrow, Moss, Bayer and Hauck ENROLLED SENATE BILL No. 98 AN ACT to amend 1973 PA 116, entitled “An act to provide for the protection of children through the licensing and regulation of child care organizations; to provide for the establishment of standards of care for child care organizations; to prescribe powers and duties of certain departments of this state and adoption facilitators; to provide penalties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts,” (MCL 722.111 to 722.128) by adding section 3m. The People of the State of Michigan enact: Sec. 3m. (1) A temporary door locking device or system may be installed in a child care center in accordance with section 4i of the Stille-DeRossett-Hale single state construction code act, 1972 PA 230, MCL 125.1504i. (2) As used in this section, “temporary door locking device or system” means that term as defined in section 4i of the Stille-DeRossett-Hale single state construction code act, 1972 PA 230, MCL 125.1504i. Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless all of the following bills of the 103rd Legislature are enacted into law: (a) Senate Bill No. 96. (b) Senate Bill No. 97.
