An Act authorizing the town of Brookfield to continue employment of Herb Chaffee beyond the age of 65, the official text

	SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Herbert A. Chaffee, II., a member of the fire department of the town of Brookfield, may continue to serve in such position until February 23, 2030, until the date of his retirement, or until the date he is relieved of his duties by the select board of the town of Brookfield, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that he is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of such position. The town of Brookfield may, at its own expense, require that Herbert A. Chaffee, II., be examined by an impartial physician designated by the town of Brookfield to determine such capability. No further deductions shall be made from the regular compensation of Herbert A. Chaffee, II., under chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to his reaching the age of 65 and, upon retirement, Herbert A. Chaffee, II, shall receive a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he retired upon reaching the age of 65. 
	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect on its passage.
