Chapter 71 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:- Section 101. (a) The superintendent of every school district shall implement and maintain a policy prohibiting the use by students of cell phones or other personal electronic devices during the school day, except as authorized by a teacher or administrator or used in the case of an emergency. (b) Annually, the superintendent shall submit the policy to the board.
