Section 16 of Chapter 90D of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:- (c) If an automobile dealer or private individual buys a vehicle and holds it for resale, said dealer or individual shall honor any optional pre-paid manufacturers vehicle warranty plan corresponding to the automobile’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) upon resale. Said warranty shall remain valid until the warranty timing and/or mileage agreement is fulfilled.
