1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is
5 amended by adding Section 74 as follows:
6 (210 ILCS 9/74 new)
7 Sec. 74. Certified nursing assistant training.
8 (a) The Department shall allow the supervised clinical
9 portion of an approved certified nursing assistant training
10 program to be completed either:
11 (1) on site at an assisted living establishment or
12 supportive living establishment that demonstrates the
13 ability to meet Department clinical training and resident
14 acuity requirements; or
15 (2) at a licensed skilled nursing or intermediate care
16 facility through an affiliation agreement approved by the
17 Department.
18 (b) The Department shall allow an individual to satisfy
19 the supervised clinical experience requirement for placement
20 on the Health Care Worker Registry through supervised clinical
21 training completed at an assisted living establishment, a
22 supportive living program building, or an affiliated site
23 approved by the Department.

1 (c) The Department shall adopt rules requiring that the
2 Health Care Worker Registry include information identifying
3 where an individual received clinical training and shall amend
