Section 99B.15, subsection 1, paragraph e, Code 1 2026, is amended to read as follows: 2 e. A prize shall be distributed on the day the prize is won, 3 except that if the winner is not present, notification to the 4 winner shall be made as soon as practical within one year of 5 the prize being awarded . 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 For purposes of social and charitable gambling, this bill 10 requires a licensed qualified organization to send notification 11 to a winner of a prize who is not present when the prize is 12 awarded within one year of the prize being awarded.
