NEW SECTION . 17A.19A Intervention by members 1 of the general assembly. 2 The majority leader of the senate, the minority leader of 3 the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, and 4 the minority leader of the house of representatives may each 5 intervene in a proceeding for judicial review of agency action 6 under section 17A.19. Other members of the general assembly 7 may join a motion to intervene filed pursuant to this section. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill authorizes the majority leader of the senate, 12 the minority leader of the senate, the speaker of the house 13 of representatives, and the minority leader of the house 14 of representatives to each intervene in a proceeding for 15 judicial review of agency action under Code chapter 17A, the 16 Iowa administrative procedure Act.
