Section 256.146, Code 2026, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 28. Adopt rules pursuant to chapter 17A 3 establishing authorizations for instruction related to fine 4 arts in schools providing instruction to students enrolled in 5 prekindergarten through grade twelve, including art, music, and 6 choir. 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill requires the board of educational examiners to 11 establish authorizations for instruction related to fine arts 12 in schools providing instruction to students enrolled in 13 prekindergarten through grade 12, including art, music, and 14 choir. 15 -1- LSB 5953YH (2) 91 jda/jh 1/ 1
