An act to amend Section 130010 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to hospitals.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

Existing law, the Alfred E. Alquist Hospital Facilities Seismic Safety Act of 1983, establishes, under the jurisdiction of the Department of Health Care Access and Information, a program of seismic safety building standards for certain hospitals. Existing law requires the department to review and approve seismic evaluation reports, compliance schedules, and construction documents, as specified, for the purposes of the act.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to this provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.
Section 130010 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read:
130010.
The department is responsible for reviewing and approving seismic evaluation reports, compliance schedules, and construction documents that are developed by hospital owners, and field review of construction for work done pursuant to this article.
