18 PROHIBIT A MUNICIPALITY FROM ENFORCING
19 BUILDINGS AND ZONING REGULATIONS ON
20 COUNTY PROPERTY.

22 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

24 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code Title 14, Chapter 56, Subchapter 1, is
25 amended to add an additional section to read as follows:
26 14-56-105. Regulation of county-owned property prohibited.
27 (a) A municipality shall not enforce municipal building or zoning
28 regulations on county property that is:
29 (1) Used for a public purpose; and
30 (2) Located within the corporate limits of the municipality.
31 (b) A county owning property that is used for a public purpose and is
32 located within the corporate limits of a municipality shall comply with the
33 building and zoning regulations of the county.
