9   AN ACT CONCERNING THE EVALUATION, EXTENSION, AND

10  REPEAL OF ADMINISTRATIVE RULES; AND FOR OTHER

11  PURPOSES.

15                       CONCERNING THE EVALUATION, EXTENSION,

16                       AND REPEAL OF ADMINISTRATIVE RULES.

18 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

20  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 25-15-401(c), concerning the reporting,

21 sunsetting, and extension of rules, is amended to read as follows:

22  (c)(1) The agencies shall be divided into six (6) rule review groups to

23 be determined by the Governor to ensure that the number of agencies in each

24 rule review group and the number of subject matter areas represented by each

25 rule review group are approximately equal.

26  (2) If a new agency is created, the Governor shall assign the new

27 agency to a rule review group.

28  (3)(A) The Governor may amend the division of agencies into rule

29 review groups.

30                       (B) An amendment to the division of agencies into rule

31 review groups on or after the effective date of this subdivision (c)(3) shall

32 not result in the rules of an agency being evaluated more than twelve (12)

33 years from their last evaluation under this section.
