10 TRANSITIONS ACT OF 2021; TO AMEND PROVISIONS OF THE
11 ARKANSAS CODE CONCERNING ADVANCE ENROLLMENT OF A
12 STUDENT UNDER THE ARKANSAS MILITARY CHILD SCHOOL
13 TRANSITIONS ACT OF 2021; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

18 SCHOOL TRANSITIONS ACT OF 2021.

20 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 6-28-108(b)(2)(A), concerning entering
23 academic course requests for students under the Arkansas Military Child
24 School Transitions Act of 2021, is amended to read as follows:
25 (2)(A) A receiving district may shall enter academic course
26 requests on behalf of an incoming student under this section based on the
27 student's transcript of information sent by the student's family or the
28 student's sending district.

30 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code � 6-28-108, concerning advance enrollment of
31 a student under the Arkansas Military Child School Transitions Act of 2021,
32 is amended to add an additional subsection to read as follows:
33 (e) A public school may seek a waiver from the State Board of
34 Education to accommodate a student under this section.
