9   AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING WARRANTS OF

10  ARREST; TO REQUIRE THAT NOTICE OF A WARRANT BE SENT

11  TO THE PERSON NAMED IN THE ARREST WARRANT; AND FOR

12  OTHER PURPOSES.

16                       TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING WARRANTS OF

17                       ARREST; AND TO REQUIRE THAT NOTICE OF A

18                       WARRANT BE SENT TO THE PERSON NAMED IN

19                       THE ARREST WARRANT.

21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

23  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 16-81-104, concerning warrants of arrest

24 generally, is amended to add an additional subsection to read as follows:

25  (c) When a warrant of arrest is issued, a copy of the warrant shall be

26 sent by certified mail to the current or last known address of the person for

27 whom the warrant is issued within:

28  (1) Ten (10) days for a misdemeanor offense or a violation; or

29  (2) Sixty (60) days for a felony offense.
