9   AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING CONDUCT OF

10  ELECTIONS; TO ALLOW A COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTION

11  COMMISSIONERS TO DESIGNATE A RESTROOM FOR CAMPAIGN

12  WORKERS AND VOLUNTEERS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

16                       TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING CONDUCT OF

17                       ELECTIONS; AND TO ALLOW A COUNTY BOARD

18                       OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS TO DESIGNATE A

19                       RESTROOM FOR CAMPAIGN WORKERS AND

20                       VOLUNTEERS.

22 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

24  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code Title 7, Chapter 5, Subchapter 3, is amended

25 to add an additional section to read as follows:

26  7-5-325. Designated restrooms for campaign workers and volunteers.

27  (a) A county board of election commissioners may designate restroom

28 facilities to be used by campaign workers or volunteers at a polling site.

29  (b) A campaign worker or volunteer working outside of the polling site

30 may use restroom facilities in the polling site designated by the county

31 board of election commissioners under subsection (a) of this section.

32  (c) Before entering the polling site to use the designated restroom

33 facilities under this section, a campaign worker or volunteer:

34  (1) Shall cover or remove campaign material advocating voting

35 for or against a:

36                       (A) Candidate; or

1                 (B) Position on a ballot measure;

2   (2) Shall not attempt to solicit votes; and

3   (3) Shall not interact or engage with a poll worker.

4   (d) A campaign worker or volunteer who enters the polling site and

5 violates subsection (c) of this section is guilty of electioneering under �

6 7-1-103(a)(8).
