9   AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW REGARDING LABOR; TO REQUIRE

10  THE CREATION OF A POSTER REGARDING VETERANS' BENEFITS

11  AND SERVICES; TO REQUIRE CERTAIN EMPLOYERS TO DISPLAY

12  THE POSTER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

16                       TO REQUIRE THE CREATION OF A POSTER

17                       REGARDING VETERANS' BENEFITS AND

18                       SERVICES; AND TO REQUIRE CERTAIN

19                       EMPLOYERS TO DISPLAY THE POSTER.

21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22

23  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code Title 11, Chapter 2, Subchapter 1, is amended

24 to add an additional section to read as follows:

25  11-2-126. Posting of veterans' benefits and services.

26  (a)(1) The Department of Labor and Licensing, in consultation with the

27 Department of Veterans Affairs, shall create and distribute a veterans'

28 benefits and services poster to employers.

29  (2) The poster created under subdivision (a)(1) of this section

30 shall include without limitation the following information:

31                       (A) Contact and website information for the Department of

32 Veterans Affairs programs and services;

33                       (B) Substance abuse and mental health treatment options;

34                       (C) Educational, workforce, and training resources;

35                       (D) Tax benefits;

36                       (E) The availability of a veteran's designation on a

1 driver's license or an identification card;

2   (F) Eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits under

3 state and federal law;

4   (G) Legal services; and

5   (H) Contact information for the United States Department

6 of Veterans Affairs Veterans Crisis Line.

7   (b) An employer in the state with fifty (50) or more full-time

8 equivalent employees shall display the poster created under this section in a

9 conspicuous place accessible to employees in the employer's workplace.
