18 TRANSFERS UNDER THE PUBLIC SCHOOL CHOICE
19 ACT OF 2015 TO PARTICIPATE IN AN
20 EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY.

22 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

24 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 6-18-1904(f)(1), concerning the
25 participation in an extracurricular activity of a student who transfers to
26 another public school or a nonresident district under the Public School
27 Choice Act of 2015, is amended to read as follows:
28 (f)(1)(A) A student who transfers to another public school or a
29 nonresident district under this subchapter shall not be:
30 (A)(i) Denied participation in an extracurricular
31 activity at the public school or nonresident district to which he or she
32 transfers based exclusively on his or her decision to transfer to the public
33 school or nonresident district; or
34 (B)(ii) Disciplined in any manner based exclusively
35 on the exercise of his or her right to transfer to another public school or a
36 nonresident district under this subchapter.

1 (B) However, a student who transfers to another public
2 school or a nonresident district under this subchapter for two (2)
3 consecutive years may be prohibited by the public school or nonresident
4 district to which he or she transfers from participating in an
5 extracurricular activity at the public school or nonresident district for a
6 period of three hundred sixty-five (365) days.
