9   AN ACT TO ALLOW A CLASS OF REGISTERED VOTERS THAT

10  HAVE CHANGED THEIR COUNTY OF RESIDENCE TO CAST A

11  VALID BALLOT; TO AMEND PROVISIONS OF ARKANSAS

12  CONSTITUTION, AMENDMENT 51, UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF

13  ARKANSAS CONSTITUTION, AMENDMENT 51, � 19; AND FOR

14  OTHER PURPOSES.

18                       TO ALLOW A CLASS OF REGISTERED VOTERS

19                       THAT HAVE CHANGED THEIR COUNTY OF

20                       RESIDENCE TO CAST A VALID BALLOT; AND TO

21                       AMEND PROVISIONS OF ARKANSAS

22                       CONSTITUTION, AMENDMENT 51.

24 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

26  SECTION 1. Under the authority granted by Arkansas Constitution,

27 Amendment 51, � 19, Arkansas Constitution, Amendment 51, � 10(b)(2),

28 concerning transfer and change of status for voter registration, is amended

29 to read as follows:

30  (2)(A) If the updated registration information is actually

31 received in the office of the county clerk of the voter's new county not

32 later than four (4) days before the polls close for a scheduled election, the

33 voter shall have the right to vote in the scheduled election in the precinct

34 into which the voter just moved in the new county.

35                       (B) If the updated registration information is not

36 actually received by the fourth day before the polls close for a scheduled

 1 election, the voter shall not be eligible to vote in the scheduled election.
