12 VARIOUS CITY OFFICIALS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

16 TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING VARIOUS
17 PROVISIONS OF TITLE 24 OF THE ARKANSAS
18 CODE; AND TO AMEND THE LAW REGARDING THE
19 PAYMENT OF RETIREMENT BENEFITS TO
20 VARIOUS CITY OFFICIALS.

22 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

24 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 24-12-120(c), concerning payment of
25 retirement benefits to city attorneys in cities of the first class and cities
26 of the second class, is amended to read as follows:
27 (c) All payments of retirement benefits under this section shall be
28 payable monthly and shall be paid from the general funds of by the city.

30 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code � 24-12-121(b)(2), concerning retirement
31 payments to city clerks and clerk-treasurers, is amended to read as follows:
32 (2) The retirement pay shall be paid by the city from its
33 general fund account.

35 SECTION 3. Arkansas Code � 24-12-122(b)(2), concerning retirement
36 payments to deputy city clerks, is amended to read as follows:

1 (2) The retirement pay shall be paid by the city from its
2 general fund account when appropriated for that purpose by the governing body
3 of the city.

5 SECTION 4. Arkansas Code � 24-12-123(a)(2), concerning retirement
6 payments to mayors of cities of the first class, is amended to read as
7 follows:
8 (2) The retirement payments shall be paid monthly and shall be
9 paid from the city general fund by the city.

11 SECTION 5. Arkansas Code � 24-12-125(b)(2), concerning retirement
12 payments to treasurers of cities of the first class, is amended to read as
13 follows:
14 (2) Upon approval by the governing body of the city, the
15 retirement pay shall be paid by the city from its general fund account.

17 SECTION 6. Arkansas Code � 24-12-127(b)(2), concerning retirement
18 payments to recorder-treasurers and city treasurers of cities of the second
19 class, is amended to read as follows:
20 (2) The retirement pay shall be paid by the city from its
21 general fund account.
