12  VOTING IN A CITY IN CERTAIN INSTANCES; AND FOR OTHER

18                       ARKANSANS RESIDING IN POPULATION

19                       CENTERS; AND TO REQUIRE A COUNTY BOARD

20                       OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS TO CONDUCT

21                       EARLY VOTING IN A CITY IN CERTAIN

22                       INSTANCES.

24 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

26  SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 7-5-418(b)(1)(A), concerning early voting,

27 is amended to read as follows:

28  (b)(1)(A)(i) The county board of election commissioners shall hold

29 early voting for each preferential primary election and each general election

30 at a polling site in each city:

31                                   (a) Having a population of more than fifteen

32 thousand (15,000) people in the most recent federal decennial census; and

33                                   (b) Where the county clerk is not conducting

34 early voting.

35                             (ii) The county board of election commissioners may

36 decide to hold early voting at additional polling sites outside the offices

 1 of the county clerk on any of the days provided for in subsection (a) of this
 2 section, if it so chooses.
