21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

23 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 4-19-102(1), concerning the definition of
24 "transmitting utility" under the Transmitting Utility Act, is amended to read
25 as follows:
26 (1) "Transmitting utility" means any a corporation or other
27 entity primarily engaged in:
28 (A) the The railroad or street railway business,;
29 (B) the The furnishing of telephone or telegraph service,;
30 (C) the The transmission of oil, gas, or petroleum
31 products by pipeline, or;
32 (D) the The production, transmission, or distribution of
33 electricity, steam, gas, or water; or
34 (E) The provision of fiber optic communication service,
35 broadband internet service, or similar high-speed data transmission services.
