9         AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW REGARDING ALCOHOLIC

10        BEVERAGES; TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE

11        AND TRANSFER OF WHOLESALE PERMITS; AND FOR OTHER

12        PURPOSES.

16                       TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE

17                       AND TRANSFER OF WHOLESALE PERMITS.

19 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

21        SECTION 1. Arkansas Code � 3-4-609 is amended to read as follows:

22        3-4-609. Wholesaler permit -- Issuance -- Transfer.

23        (a)(1)(a) A new wholesaler permit shall not be issued under � 3-4-605

24 or � 3-4-607 on or after September 1, 2013 may be issued on or after July 1,

25 2026.

26        (b) A new minimum wholesaler permit under � 3-4-607 may be issued on

27 or after the effective date of this act.

28        (2) However, a holder of a wholesaler permit under � 3-4-605 or

29 � 3-4-607 issued on or before September 1, 2013, may renew the permit before,

30 on, or after September 1, 2013.

31        (b) A holder of a wholesaler permit issued under � 3-4-605 or � 3-4-

32 607 on or before September 1, 2013, may transfer the wholesaler permit to

33 another wholesaler as permitted under applicable law or regulation of the

34 Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.
